  1. Bharathanatyam is one of the oldest Indian classical dance forms widely practiced.

  2. Name Meaning: The name is often broken down into four core elements:

  3. Bha: Bhava (Expression)

  4. Ra: Raga (Melody/Music)

  5. Ta: Tala (Rhythm)

  6. Natyam: Dance

  7. Bharatanatyam also gets its name from Bharata Muni,the author of Natya Shastra.
